Yes, I tried that also, changing the source to the query copy, but did not work. Probably we´ve done something wrong on the document, making it to take long for prompts, but don´t know where.
Hope it´s just that, and not the document being dummy, because it will be easier to solve it.

I have being fighting with an installation of BOBIP 4.1 guided by SAP installation documentation and some help from:
BOBI 4.0 Installation with separate DB2 Database & Customize database requirement
The platform to install BOBI is under Linux 7 and DB2 10.5 database (our own database installed in the same server)
But even after doing the steps from SAP Note 1985536 - Error message "Second tried to load library libdb2.so and failed because of error: . (FWB 00090)" -BI4.1 I'm still having the exact same problem.
The error I`m facing is:

As you can see, it is the same error mentioned in the SAP note 1985536 but after doing some investigation to understand what is a node and a catalog for DB2 I feel the SAP note does not explains enough what should be done ( node X ,,,, Server Z not explainig what is X and what is Z).
Eventhough, I was able to catalog a node and database alias, and also was able to connect to database with no problem using the Database Alias I assigned within the catalog.
I have looked for this error but nobody seems to get this problem solved in the few messages found.
Environment looks fine, database users are able to connect to databases using db2 connect to <DBID> user <user> using <passwd>, connecting using db2cli also works with no problem using Alias or DB name
Did someone solved this error in the past? or any idea on what to do next?

I opened a case last week, but they are having problems with the connection to the BW system. Basis team is trying to solve the problem so they can connect.
When I receive reply, I´ll come back to the post and tell what was happening.

Hi Vijay,
For file events Event server is the one who monitors these events.
You can go to the Metrics of event server to verify that.
This does not provide any notification.
For your requirement you could use API's to retrieve information from this metrics and then send notification.
By default:
Events are triggered on success or failure only.
Same is the case for Notifications. Will work only on failure or success.

Using the same code as the viewer, if you set one user preference to the correct language and then put the rest of the users in a group. Use the utility to set the rest to match.
I attempted to make an addition to an automatic report that I had scheduled in the Instance Manager by clicking on reschedule. Since making the change none of the reports are no longer running automatically. Can someone assist with this?

Hi All,
I had a similar issue where the promotion would run successfully but the promoted report was not visible in the expected location. It was instead in a different location, where the original version of the report resided. The original version shared the same CUID as the promoted version hence that report was changed by the promotion. The version of the report that I was looking for was actually a copy, with a different CUID. For whatever reason the copy of the report was also erased which is where the confusion comes from.
To check if the report actually exists in your environment, find the CUID of the report (just under the reports properties) and run this in query builder: (http://servername/AdminTools/querybuilder/ie.jsp)
SELECT * FROM CI_INFOOBJECTS WHERE SI_CUID = <CUID>
If something is returned, the report has been promoted and it exists somewhere in your file structure.
Hope this helps people in the future, who stumble across this like I did.

I don't recommend doing that; I recommend checking out the SAP Cloud Appliance library at cal.sap.com where you can try it online without doing the install yourself.

We have already SAP BI 4.1 and SAP Portal 7.4 SP12 and we are publishing some Design Studios and WEBIs in portal.
Now we have some WEBIs with parameters and we don’t know how to pass those parameters from Portal iview,
The issue is that those WEBIs are called from Design Studio report for printing purposes and our consultants have prepare de WEBIs to receive filter values from DS…

We ran the enterprise alias script too to create enterprise alias on all LDAP/AD IDs in CMC. However, if a user is terminated that ID still shows in CMC because of the enterprise ID enabled. How do we get rid of the termd users?
Any ideas?
